Spiritual Cleansing: How to Remove Negativity From Your Home Forever

Beloved, let me ask you something.

Does your home feel heavy? Is there constant tension — fighting, misunderstanding, unexplained anger? Do certain rooms feel "dark" or uncomfortable for no reason? Has your family been experiencing sickness, financial struggle, or bad luck that seems to follow you?

These are not coincidences. Your home may need a spiritual cleansing.

Just as dust accumulates on your furniture and must be physically cleaned, spiritual "dust" — negative energy, demonic residue, spiritual contamination — accumulates in your home and must be SPIRITUALLY cleansed.

This post will teach you a complete, biblically-based spiritual cleansing that will remove negativity from every room and reclaim your home as holy ground.

How Homes Become Spiritually Contaminated

1. Previous Occupants (Acts 19:13-16) If you live in a home that others occupied before you, whatever spiritual activity they engaged in may have left residue. Witchcraft, occult practices, violence, sexual sin, drug abuse — these things leave spiritual imprints.

2. Visitors Who Carry Evil (2 John 1:10-11) When people enter your home, they bring their spiritual atmosphere with them. A visitor carrying envy, witchcraft, or unclean spirits can contaminate your space.

3. Objects with Demonic Attachments (Deuteronomy 7:26) Items from questionable sources — antiques from unknown origins, gifts from people who practice witchcraft, objects from past relationships, items from foreign religious practices — can carry spiritual attachments.

4. Sins Committed in the Home (Ephesians 4:27) Persistent sin in a home — unforgiveness, domestic violence, pornography, substance abuse — gives the enemy legal access.

Preparation: Before You Begin the Cleansing

Step 1: Fast and Pray (3 Days Before) For 3 days before the cleansing, reduce entertainment consumption. No horror movies, no music with dark themes, no social media scrolling. Fill your spirit with worship music, Scripture reading, and prayer.

Step 2: Remove Questionable Objects (Day of Cleansing) Walk through every room. If you find anything with questionable spiritual origins — remove it. Idols, charms, crystals used outside of biblical context, objects from ex-partners, occult books, items from foreign religious ceremonies. Either destroy them or remove them from your property.

Step 3: Forgive Everyone Mark 11:25 — unforgiveness hinders prayer. Before the cleansing, release every grudge. Write down every name and say aloud: "[Name], I forgive you. I release you. I will not hold this against you anymore."

Pure sea salt or rock salt
Olive oil (for anointing)
A white candle (represents the presence of the Holy Spirit)
Your Bible (open to Psalm 91)
A small bowl for the salt
A cloth for the oil

The Complete Spiritual Cleansing Process

Phase 1: The Front Door (5 minutes)

Stand at your front door, facing OUTWARD. This represents that you are evicting spirits OUT of your home, not inviting them IN.

Light the white candle and hold it in your left hand. Hold the salt in your right hand.

Pray:

"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I begin the spiritual cleansing of my home RIGHT NOW. I stand at this door as the priest of my household, exercising the authority You have given me according to Luke 10:19 — authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy.

Every spirit that entered this home through previous occupants — LEAVE NOW. Every spirit that entered through visitors — LEAVE NOW. Every spirit that entered through contaminated objects — LEAVE NOW. Every spirit that entered through sin — LEAVE NOW.

You have no legal right to remain. The blood of Jesus has canceled your assignment. The fire of the Holy Spirit drives you out. This home is being reclaimed for the Kingdom of God.
